What to Expect: Your Journey Toward Wellness
Navigating the landscape of mental healthcare can feel overwhelming, especially in a virtual setting. My goal is to make your transition into care as seamless and transparent as possible. Here is how we will work together from your first click to your ongoing growth.
1. The Initial Comprehensive Consultation
Our first meeting is a 60-to-90-minute deep dive. Unlike a traditional clinical intake, this is an expansive conversation where we look at the "big picture" of your life. We will discuss:
Your History: Current symptoms, past treatments, and your goals for the future.
The Holistic Audit: An exploration of your sleep patterns, diet, physical activity, and family dynamics.
Medical Review: A look at your current primary health concerns and any recent lab work to rule out physical causes for psychological symptoms.
2. Developing Your Integrated Care Plan
At the end of our initial session, we won't just hand you a prescription or a follow-up date. We will co-create a personalized wellness roadmap. This plan may include:
Evidence-Based Prescribing: If medication is indicated, we discuss the risks, benefits, and the specific "why" behind the choice.
Therapeutic Goals: Identifying the modalities (such as CBT, psychodynamic, or mindfulness-based therapy) that best suit your personality and needs.
Lifestyle Interventions: Targeted recommendations for movement, nutrition, or stress-management techniques designed to complement clinical treatment.
3. Ongoing Management & Collaboration
Follow-up appointments are scheduled to monitor your progress and refine our strategy. As a telehealth provider, I utilize secure, HIPAA-compliant technology to ensure our sessions remain private and accessible.
Medication Management: Frequent check-ins during the early stages of treatment to ensure your body is responding well.
Psychotherapy Sessions: Consistent space to process life transitions, relational patterns, and behavioral changes.
Collaborative Care: With your consent, I am happy to coordinate with your primary care physician or other specialists to ensure your care is cohesive.
***Note on Telehealth: To participate in our sessions, you will simply need a private space and a device with a stable internet connection. High-quality care is now available from the comfort and safety of your own environment.
